Modeling of packing of petroleum coke fractions

1996
The production of anode paste consists of mixing a limited number of petroleum coke fractions before adding the required amount of coal tar pitch. The model presented, based on input data from quick and simple measurements on each fraction, calculate complete ternary bulk density and/or packing degree diagrams. The EUROPACK model calculations yield, with some limitations for extreme particle ratios, results that are in very good agreement with measured values.
