On Performance of an Outage Probability of Hybrid Cooperative Cognitive Radio Networks with Rayleigh Faded Networks

2020
Due to ever increasing service demand in wireless communication, cognitive radio and cooperative techniques have been employed for efficient utilization of radio resources. Efficient resource allocation (power and spectrum) in Cooperative Cognitive Radio Network (CCRN) includes reducing average transmit power, reducing co-channel interference and maintaining certain Quality of Service (QoS). Performance measure of cognitive radio network is evaluated through the calculation of outage probability. In this paper an analytical model to compute the outage probability of CCRN is presented. The resource allocation for uplink of Rayleigh faded Hybrid Cooperative Cognitive Radio Network (HCCRN) is considered. The network is hybrid as it uses both licensed and cognitive radio resources in an integrated manner. We compute the Signal to Noise and Interference Ratio (SINR) on licensed link as well as cognitive link by considering the power control on cognitive user. The power to cognitive user is allocated in such a way that it will not degrade the performance of licensed user.
