A Key Update Based on Logistic Model in Cognitive Radio Networks

2009
When the crypto-period is expired or the key is compromised, trusted third party (TTP) broadcasts the materials of key update. The method cannot guarantee that all the nodes access to key materials in time if nodes work on different spectrums in cognitive radio networks. This paper presents a new algorithm based on the logistic model (KULCR) which reduces the demand for network synchronization and distributes key materials through the direct broadcasts of TTP nodes and the relay among cognitive radio nodes, the latency of key update is decreased from O(n) to O(√n) by this way, n is the number of spectrum. We also introduce a ring signature based on threshold in order to secrete the trusted third party. The efficiency of this protocol is proved and trusted third party is able to resist malicious attacks by simulation experiment.
