Analysis of interoperability of relays via teleprotection

The analysis of the type of teleprotection scheme that ensures the interoperability of the relays and allows the total extinction of failures with the shortest possible time delay is investigated in this article. For this purpose, the CAPE Software, which is dedicated to the protection studies of electrical systems, was used in the implementation of an electrical energy system of 230 kV, in which distance relays assisted by teleprotection schemes were allocated at the terminals of one of the transmission lines. In the end, a methodology was developed that can be applied to evaluate the interoperability of the relays, whose effectiveness has been proven.
