The paper proposes the Edge-glued panels as an alternative raw material for the sector of furniture and wood in the region. Considering the results of the research, these boards permit to improve the mechanical properties and appearance of wood, achieving a higher quality product; also is possible to manufacture them with appropriate technology and are a potential market for their applications in engineering, architecture and product design.
