Cycles and Rhythms in Cotton

2010
The natural physical environment in which plants grow is a dynamic and changing habitat. Many fluctuations in the environment occur at regular and predictable intervals. During each 24 hour period the earth completes one light/ dark cycle, and plants growing in their natural habitat are subjected to alternating periods of sunlight and darkness. With the change of the seasons, the duration of each light/ dark period changes in a constant predictable fashion in relation to the earth’s yearly seasonal changes.
