A 64 CHANNEL FASTBUS INTEGRATING A/D CONVERTER FOR HIGH BANDWITH H.E.P. DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEMS

A 64 channel Fastbus ADC with 13 bits of dynamic range and a conversion time of approximately 2OuSec for average channel occupancies is described. The use of input and output buffers minimizes dead time at high trigger rates. The advent of high performance low cost monolithic ADCs for digital audio tape recorders and 200MHz GBW monolithic operational amplifiers makes a low cost high performance design possible.
