Modeling and Characteristics Study of Photovoltaic Generator

The need for electrical energy is growing. Then, we can deduce a significant consumption of fossil energy resources (coal, oil etc.), which is becoming a cause of air pollution throughout the world. Even if at least these fossil resources are still available, they will not be available in the near future, which is why decisionmakers are encouraging research into the use of alternative renewable energy resources. This paper presents a mathematical model of the photovoltaic generator. Simulation results under different environmental climatic conditions are presented and discussed. The obtained results show that the perturbation and observation maximum power point tracking technique provides fast and high performances under different irradiance and temperature levels.
