Multimedia Distance E-Learning System for Higher Education Students

The recent advances in information technologies with the increasing interest of large number of individuals in the developing countries to get higher education have led to the evolution of online distance education. Distance e-learning has a possibility to offer education to students who are busy or being unable to attend face-to-face classroom lectures. This study focuses specifically on how distance learning will impact the learning of students taking online software engineering course that includes a lab. It examines the ways that the teacher and the students will perceive the online course so as to be an effective and positive educational experience. The system effectively integrates the multimedia contents of the study materials with the virtual lab and simulation of computer-generated diagrams and models that enhances the productivity of educational process.
