Abstract This chapter aims to provide a panoramic view of the chemometric techniques applied to plant spectral analysis. It covers multivariate calibration and classification methods, first-order multivariate calibration with particular attention to the data, algorithms, and analytical application. In the field of pattern recognition, it describes the typically used parametric or probabilistic methods including an analytical application for each method explored and a step-by-step procedure explanation.
