A high sensitivity carrier frequency tracking algorithm for satellite navigation receiver

2020
Satellite navigation signals may face complex use environment, and the signal strength may be as low as - 160dBm. For weak signals, a high-sensitivity tracking algorithm based on carrier frequency locking condition is designed. Taking the output of frequency discriminator in the tracking channel as the observation measurement, a carrier frequency Kalman tracking filter for navigation signal is designed, which simplifies the calculation complexity of traditional Kalman filter, and realizes the stable tracking of 160dBm signal. Through the adaptive adjustment of Kalman filter, the stable tracking under different strength and dynamic navigation signals can be realized. The greater the signal strength is, the higher the tracking accuracy will be.
