Side window glass installation device and method

The invention relates to a side window glass installation device and method. The device comprises a manipulator used for grabbing and installing side window glass, a glass stacking device, a moving device used for moving the manipulator and the glass stacking device and a controller. An image recognition device used for conducting automatic recognition and location is arranged in the manipulator, and the manipulator and the image recognition device are connected with the controller. The manipulator is used for grabbing the side window glass to finish grabbing and transportation of the glass, the number of workers and manual transportation labor intensity are reduced, and installation time and installation cost are saved. Location operation is conducted on glass assembly through a vision location system to achieve the aim of reducing tool use and solve the large tool device investment problem of enterprises.
