Development of test/mission support data processing and display systems

1992
In today's demanding aerospace real-time and post test/ mission operations and analysis environment, essential upgrades and modifications are required during the tesffmission support systems's life cycle to meet new program requirements and provide continued support. These system changes can occur anywhere from the sensor, flight segment, to the interactive display used by the test engineer or operator, ground segment. The architecture for a Test and Evaluation lnformation Management (TEIM) system must be responsive to the end user's requirements, allow for incremental and modular implementation, and produce an operable and maintainable architecture for the life cycle of the tesffmission support system. This paper presents an architectural approach which provides cost effective system solutions based on maximum utilization of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software. We will address only the ground segment of TEIM systems.
