WAVELETS TRANSFORMS APPLIED TO TERMITE DETECTION

Inthis paperwepresent anexperiment which shows thepossibilities ofwavelets todetect transients produced by termites. Identification hasbeendeveloped bymeansof analyzing theimpulse response ofthree sensors undergoing natural excitations. De-noising bywavelets exhibits good performance uptoSNR=-30dB,inthepresence ofwhite gaussian noise. Thetest canbeextended tosimilar vibratory signals resulting fromimpulse responses.
