Influência do Parto na Pelvimetria de Vacas da Raça Guzerá

2007
ABSTRACT There were measured the main diameters (the dorsal and ventral bi-iliac and the vertical) in 273 Guzera females (Bos indicus), to observe its eventual correlation with age, height, lenght, thoracic perimeter and weight of the animal after the occurrence of one parturition or more than one. The measures were made in vivo with the help of a Menissier and Vissac pelvimeter. There were obtained the following medias in each group: Nuliparous dorsal bi-i1iac 13,10 cm; ventral bi-iliac diameter 11,92 cm and ventral diameter 17,17 cm; Primiparous respectively 14,17; 13,05; 17,98 cm; Multiparous, in the some order, 15,14; 13,99; 19,26 cm. The statistical analyses had showed correlation between the diameter scores and the other body mensurations. The dimension of the ventral bi-i1iac diameter is the most related to the number of parturitions and the vertical diameter is the less altered. According the Tukey (significance level 1%) the changes that were reported in the pelvic diameters are significant between nuliparous, primiparous and multiparous females and they are related more with the increase of the widths than the increase of the height of the pe1vis itself.
