Alarm system (52, 352) for a medical pump (50) associated with administration of a fluid (54) to a patient in connection with treatment of the patient, the alarm system comprising: an alarm (60) associated with the least one treatment parameter, wherein the alarm first alarm state (208) associated with a first event (204) associated with at least one treatment parameter and a second alarm state (206) associated with a second event (202 ) associated with at least one treatment parameter, being able to differentiate the second alarm state of the first; and repeating element (200) which, when activated, allows the activation of the second alarm state when the second episode occurs.
