Order analysis of diesel engine in accelerating stage based on void — Kalman method

2017
The vibration signal of diesel engine during the accelerating status have obvious non-stationary characteristics. The collected vibration signals can used to extract the frequency of engine body. In this paper, a novel method that combine the Vold-Kalman filter order tracking method and EEMD is proposed, which can extract the typical vibration frequency and transient characteristics of vibration signals from diesel engine body. Firstly, the collected vibration signal must be preprocessed by detrending and denoising. Then, the Vold-Kalman method is used to extract the order of vibration signal and reconstruct the vibration signal. The reconstructed signal decompose by EEMD method and the typical IMF is selected by the maximum entropy criterion. Finally, the selected IMF is used to extract typical characteristics and instantaneous frequency energy distribution. This method can refer to understand the engine vibrating feature during the accelerating stage by extracting the main vibration frequency.
