A Real Time Monitoring Method for Single-line Break Fault Based on Dual-terminal Information of Distribution Network With Fault Tolerant

2019
Due to the complex structure and the changeable operation mode, the distribution network frequently suffers from various types of damage (such as line break faults). Among them, the single-line break fault feature is not obvious, and the conventional detection method is difficult to monitor effectively and low reliability. In order to solve this problem, a real time monitoring method for single-line break fault based on dual-terminal information of distribution network is proposed in this paper. By monitoring the relevant voltage and current signals on the power supply side and the load side in real time, and extracting the single-line break fault feature information, a real-time monitoring of single-line break fault is realized. It can greatly improve the recognition accuracy of single-line break fault. The simulation analysis was carried out in PSCAD/EMTDC, and the analysis results show that the method is not affected by the distribution line parameters and the mode of operation, and common faults can be accurately identified and distinguished. The identification process is accurate and fast, meets the real-time monitoring requirements for distribution network single-line break fault, and has certain value for engineering applications.
