Acoustic deformation potential interaction in the two-polaron problem
1982
The ground-state energy of two deeply bound acoustic deformation potential (ADP) polarons is examined as a function of the separation between them. A detailed interrelation between the ground-state energy of the system and the size and the structure of the ADP polaron is exhibited. It is also observed that the equilibrium separation is not altered by any variation of the strength of phonon coupling and the values of the band masses.
