Reserch Advance of Red Earth in South China

Red earth is widely distributed in South China, which is important accumulation since Late Cenozoic and results from special climate and geographic environment. Red earth consists of abundant data of environmental evolution to reconstruct paleoclimate and paleoenvironment change, which has been demonstrated as fine carrier of global change. The author has discussed different viewpoints on red earth's cause of formation, development period, chronology, paleoclimatology, paleotology and magnetic featruers in detail. Thereby, the author brings forward solutions to settle down some problems during current red earth research.
