Büyüme hormonureservinin ortaya çıkarılmasında kullanılan testlerin karşılaştırılması

1995
In order to growth hormone reserve in children who are quite normal and do not have any complaining, and complain for the growth failure insulin, Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH), clonidin, L-Dopa (single dose), L-Dopa (5 doses), arginin, propranolol L-Dopa (single dose) stimulation tests are applied. In the study, in obtaining the GH reserve which test groups are more effective, in wich tests a great number of side effects are observed, which levels can be accepted as pathological to stay that there is a GH deficiency are investigated. In the study, it is observed that the most serious side effects are insulin test and vomithing and nausea are evident in the L-Dopa test. In discovering GH reserve the following are pointed out the GHRH test in 92% cases, the insulin test in 78% cases, the clonidin test 40% cases, L-Dopa (single dose) in 36.6 %, L-Dopa (5 doses) in 33.3 % cases, the propranolol+L-Dopa test in 23.5 % and the arginin test in 23.5 % cases bring out a GH supply of 10 ng/dl and over. Since the number of the values ranging between 7 and 10 ng/dl is higher in L-Dopa and arginin tests in the completely normal cases the fact that which values can be called as partial and normal case are opened to discussion. According to the result of the study, becasuse of the fact that the couple of L-Dopa, insulin, tests are good but risky test in bringing out GH reserve and that the other tests taken as alternative to the former ones can not bring out this supply ideally the use of the triplets clonidine, L-Dopa, arginin or clonidine, GHRH, L- Dopa are brought out discussison.
