Research on Implementation of General Complexity Assessment Platform for Application Software

This paper begins with a brief introduction about the conception of complexity and how to ~evaluate it.A basic concept of general-purpose platform to estimate the complexity of embedded application software is given.Some basic research,mainly the feasibility about the platform implementation is presented in this paper.Since Halstead and McCabe methods are two classical ones to estimate complexity,they are considered as a foundation of the platform.Thus,this paper introduces in detail the two methods and proves the compatibility between them.The implementation of the platform will be discussed in another paper afterwards.
