Ferrule-Effect Dominates Over Use of a Fiber Post When Restoring Endodontically Treated Incisors: An In Vitro Study
2017
Clinical Relevance The use of a post for the restoration of nonvital incisors with a ferrule is not necessary. The additional time, materials, and risk involved in the placement of the post do not provide an increase in mechanical resistance. Post placement can be correlated with unrestorable fractures.
