The invention discloses an intelligent television terminal and a screen control method thereof. The method includes the steps that split screen parameters are set in advance, wherein the split screen parameters include split screen numbers and split screen scheme parameters corresponding to the split screen numbers; when two or more entity functions of the intelligent television terminal are monitored to be executed at the same time, the split screen parameters are read, the split screen numbers which are the same as the numbers of the entity functions which are executed at the same time are determined, and the split screen scheme parameters corresponding to the split screen numbers are read; according to the split screen scheme parameters, a display area of an intelligent television terminal screen is divided, so that split screens with the corresponding number are obtained, and interfaces of all the entity functions which are executed at the same time are output and displayed on the corresponding split screens respectively. By means of the intelligent television terminal and the screen control method thereof, screen display resources of the intelligent television terminal can be saved, and the operating efficiency of users can be improved.
