COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN OF ADAPTIVE HYDRAULIC TURBINE GOVERNORS
1980
The design of the speed control system for a hydroelectric power unit, connected to a local grid is investigated. Manual design methods are limited to very simple process models. If more adequate models are to be need routinely, an interactive computer-aided control system design procedure is necessary. It is designed to adapt the regulator parameters off-line by an efficient frequency domain method and to produce a two-level feedforward self-tuning speed control system.
