Preparative separation and isolation of three. Epimeric 2‐methylcycloalkanols by counter current distribution

Diastereoisomeric mixtures of 2-methylcyclopentanol (I), 2-methylcyclohexanol (II) and 2-methylcycloheptanol (III) can be separated in very good yields into the cis and trans isomers by counter current distribution. A suitable method for isolation is also given.
