The invention discloses a detection method for gas logging porosity of a core and a detection device of the detection method, and aims at improving the test accuracy. The method disclosed by the invention comprises the following steps: drilling out the core; exerting confining pressure; recording pressure data at the other end of the core by a controller; calculating to obtain the porosity of the core. By adopting the device disclosed by the invention, an outlet of a gas source tank is connected with one end of a core clamper through a gas source input duct; the core clamper is arranged inside a sealed pressure container; the pressure container is connected with a hydraulic pump through a pressure container pipeline; the other end of the core clamper is connected with a reflux pipe connected with the gas source input duct. Compared with the prior art, the confining pressure is exerted to the core; the controller records the pressure data at the other end of the core; the porosity of the core is calculated. The gas source, the pressure container, the hydraulic pump and the core clamper inside the pressure container form the device for detecting the porosity of the core, the cost is low, and the test accuracy is improved.
