Some Bioloical Data on Alsophylax Pipiens in Xinjiang

Observation were made on the breeding and feeding habits of Alsophylax pipiens in Xinjiang, Dusing the summer and autumn of 1986. Results obtained be summaried below. Oviposition in the regipn of Urumqi, begins at the end of May and lasts to the end of June; during this time females lay several times one egg at a time. The eggs are broad blunt oval in bhape. Sexual muturity is apparintly attained in third year. Eyes large; pupils round. Feed on various insects and their larval, and also on Arachonidea (including scropions).
