Para além do céu, da terra e do mar: caminhos possíveis para a leitura literária na escola

2021
The present study discusses the importance of literature in the subject’s constitution and analyses a literature project as an effective possibility for the teaching practice of literary reading at school, stemming from a hybrid and multimodal perspective in order to comprehend the space of cognition, creation, and enjoyment. Furthermore, this study intends to contribute to the pedagogical practice of teachers aligned with 21st-century students’ needs in respect of the work using literary reading in middle school, more specifically with students between the ages between 11 and 13. The intervention-research is based on the cartographic method, which presents possibilities of journey and progress according to each group of students’ interests and profile, and it is done through the reading of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, by Rick Riordan. The work with literary narratives and the dynamic relationships that allow students the power of deciding the paths to follow according to their own experience and personal history herald the humanitarian formation of the literary text and, therefore, it is an opportune way for schooling literature.
