Kuo and Hashman have offered a number of suggestions to improve the experimental and modeling approaches which are worthy of consideration. One only has to refer to the scatter in the data, as shown in Figure 2 to 5, and the discussion of error in the model (Page 880 to 882) to show there is room for improvement. The intent of the paper was, however, not to propose a precise experimental methodology or the ultimate in mathematical modeling. The purpose of the paper was to illustrate that: A simple experimental approach, which relied upon readily obtainable liquid phase analyses as opposed to the very difficult procedures required for meaningful gas phase and solid phase measurements, was able to yield meaningful data
