The present invention relates to a gypsum plate, in particular of the type including a gypsum core disposed between two sheets of paper or nonwoven, wherein said core contains at least one polymer selected from polyvinyl butyral (PVB), polyvinyl acetate copolymers of an olefin, which copolymers have a glass transition temperature of from -10 to + 25 ° C, vinyl acetate terpolymers of an olefin and a vinyl ester monomer, and vinyl acetate and copolymers of an acrylic monomer. It also relates to a method of manufacturing said plate, the use of said polymer to improve the acoustic performance of said plate and the said composition based on plaster.
