Effect of pyruvic acid or lactic acid on inactivation of creatine kinase

2004
The inactivation of creatine kinase in different lactic acid or pyruvic acid was determined by enzyme activity. The results shows that lactic acid or pyruvic acid cause inactivation of creatine kinase with no aggregation, and inactivation of creatine kinase caused by lactic acid or pyruvic acid is concentration-dependent.The acidification that results from ionization of lactic acid or pyruvic acid lowers the pH,and causes the inactivation of creatine kinase at last. The significance and effect of creatine kinase active changed by lactic acid or pyruvic acid have been expounded.
