Attribute authority functions that enable certifying personal attributes

In addition to certification of personal identity based on public key infrastructure, a method that realize strict access control using an attribute certificate to certify personal attributes is being studied. More specifically, NTT Information Sharing Platform Laboratories are now proceeding with research and development on attribute authority's functions that allow us to issue and manage attribute certificates, in addition to the conventional certification authority system.
