Piecing together the puzzle: Improving event content coverage for real-time sub-event detection using adaptive microblog crawling

Xinyue Wang was a recipient of a joint CSC (Chinese Scholarship Council) and QMUL funded PhD (2011-2015). Stefan Poslad and Laurissa Tokarchuk were funded in part by the EU FP7 TRIDEC, Collaborative, Complex and Critical Decision-Support in Evolving Crises, project from 2010-09-01 to 2013-10-31 (Grant No.: 258723) to work in R&D of microblog use for environment event detection.
