LA ENSEÑANZA DE LA BIOFÍSICA EN LAS SEDES LEJANAS DEL CICLO BÁSICO COMÚN Y SU INTERACCIÓN CON LAS FACULTADES DEL ÁREA DE LA SALUD Y LA VIDA EN LA UNIVERSIDAD DE BUENOS AIRES

THE TEACHING OF BIOPHYSIOLOGY IN THE SOUTH HEADS OF THE COMMON BASIC CYCLE AND ITS INTERACTION WITH THE POWERS OF THE HEALTH AND LIFE AREA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BUENOS AIRES RESUMEN En este trabajo se presenta una resena del marco politico- historico-institucional de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) que se inserta en una parte importante de la historia argentina; la creacion con la recuperacion de la democracia de un sistema igualitario e irrestricto de acceso al conocimiento a traves del Ciclo Basico Comun (CBC), unidad academica que dicta 26 asignaturas y tiene una matricula de mas de 65.000 estudiantes; y la situacion de articulacion y demanda social de las Facultades del area de la Salud y la Vida: Medicina, Bioquimica y Farmacia, Odontologia, Agronomia y Veterinaria (FSV) en base a datos basados en los ultimos censos. Se presenta asimismo un proyecto en vias de ejecucion del uso de las tecnologias de la comunicacion y la informacion (TIC’s) en relacion con una nueva poblacion estudiantil que reside en regiones que distan hasta 400 km de la ciudad de Buenos Aires en las llamadas Sedes Lejanas (SL). Este proyecto se aplica especialmente como herramienta de inclusion al caso de la ensenanza de la Biofisica del CBC, asignatura con un exigente plan academico en temas de Fisica General. La fuerte insercion en las FSV se da a traves de clases especiales dictadas en dichas facultades, e-n relacion con la perspectiva biologica de los temas tratados en Biofisica. El uso de aulas virtuales, plataformas tecnologicas y aulas multimedia, recursos de facil implementacion y economicamente accesibles, forman parte de una estrategia para hacer llegar a los estudiantes de las SL las clases de las FSV. La iniciativa es alentada por los varios actores intervinientes y puede ser aplicada en otros contextos educativos. ABSTRACT This paper presents an overview of the political-historical-institutional framework of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), which forms part of an important part of Argentine history; The creation with the recovery of democracy from an equal and unrestricted system of access to knowledge through the Common Basic Cycle (CBC), an academic unit that dictates 26 subjects and has a enrollment of more than 65,000 students; And the situation of articulation and social demand of the Faculties of the area of Health and Life: Medicine, Biochemistry and Pharmacy, Dentistry, Agronomy and Veterinary (FSV) based on data based on the last censuses. A project in the process of implementing the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) is also presented in relation to a new student population that resides in regions that are up to 400 km from the city of Buenos Aires in the so-called Far Locations (SL). This project is especially applied as a tool for inclusion in the case of teaching the Biophysics of CBC, subject with a demanding academic plan in General Physics subjects. The strong insertion in the FSV occurs through special classes dictated in these faculties, e-n relation with the biological perspective of the subjects treated in Biophysics. The use of virtual classrooms, technological platforms and multimedia classrooms, easy-to-implement and economically accessible resources are part of a strategy to bring students from SL to FSV classes. The initiative is encouraged by the various actors involved and can be applied in other educational contexts.
