The discharge characteristics of the superfine powder fire extinguishing equipment with fire detection tube were investigated through cold discharge tests and theoretical analysis.The results show that the discharge process is divided into three stages,which are dense aerosols release stage,dilute aerosols release stage and nitrogen release stage.The dense aerosols release stage is effective release stage.The length of fire detection tube has less effect on the rate of residual extinguishing medium,which are less than 2.0% in different conditions.The length of fire detection tube has significant effect on the effective discharge time of the extinguishing equipment,and increasing the fire detection tube length will increase the effective release time.The research results could be used to provide theoretical basis for engineering design and application of the extinguishing equipment.
