Qualche breve nota sullo sviluppo delle neuroscienze cognitive a uso di filosofi (e teologi)

Lo sviluppo delle neuroscienze cognitive e sintetizzato alla luce di alcuni problemi filosofici fondamentali: le relazioni tra la mente e il corpo e quindi tra causazione bottom-up e top-down; il significato del concetto di agente e il problema delle decisioni e azioni volontarie; ruolo e significato della coscienza; il concetto di embodiment . La lezione fondamentale e che una filosofia neo-aristotelica puo rivelarsi molto proficua per la futura interazione dei filosofi con tali sviluppi. The development of cognitive neurosciences is here summarized in the light of some fundamental philosophical problems: the relationships between mind and body and the consequent connection between bottom-up and top-down causation; the significance of the concept of voluntary agency and therefore the problem of voluntary decisions and acts; role and significance of consciousness; the concept of embodiment. The main lesson is that a neo-Aristotelian approach may turn out to be very fruitful fore the future interaction of philosophers with these researches. is fundamental theological premises.
