Auxiliary end face grinding and polishing device for bars

This invention relates to an auxiliary end face grinding and polishing device for bars, and the auxiliary end face grinding and polishing device is used for grinding and polishing the end faces of the bars during glass fiber quality detection. The auxiliary end face grinding and polishing device comprises a base and bar fixing mechanisms. The base is mounted on a protective cover of a rotary grinding and polishing platform. At least two countersinks are symmetrically formed in the center of the base. The lower edges of the countersinks are separated from a rotary polishing platform of the rotary grinding and polishing platform, and the separation distance is far smaller than the length of the bars. Each bar fixing mechanism comprises a bar fixing seat and a pre-compressing piece. Each bar fixing mechanism is arranged corresponding to one countersink and matched with the countersink. A limiting inner hole is formed in the middle of each bar fixing seat and is a through hole. The surface of the outer side of each bar fixing seat is connected with the corresponding countersink in a threaded manner. The bars are arranged in the limiting inner holes in the bar fixing seats. The diameter of the end faces of the bars is slightly smaller than the pore diameter of the limiting inner holes. The pre-compressing pieces press the bars in the limiting inner holes to the rotary polishing platform of the rotary grinding and polishing platform.
