Acoustic Levitation Characteristics of Hexagon Ultrasonic Arrays and Their Manipulate Methods

2019
Base on the acoustic levitation technology, concept of contactless transport could be achieved by assembling transducersarray which charged with spatiotemporal modulation of the acoustic field. Our research started with hexagonal-headed ultrasonic transducer design, which was modified by FEM methods to achieve desired amplitude and frequency. A seven sourced hexagonal acoustic array prototype is set to verify the simulation predicted model. Prototype transducers are tested by two-dimensional Doppler vibration system (PSV-300F-B, Polytec co) and precision impedance analyzer (Agilent 9294A), relevant dynamic characteristic parameters are obtained. We verified the suspension and rotation control of the disc by the transducer array through experiments.
