On OR practice in Brazil and the UK

Drawing on experience and observations of OR in Brazil, ALBERTO CANEN and PETER BENNETT discuss some factors affecting the success of OR in industrial organizations. Despite the many differences between the two countries, the same factors often seem relevant in Britain too. It is suggested that such issues would be worth following up through international comparison and collaboration.
