The SARTOM Project: Tomography and polarimetry for enhanced target detection for foliage penetrating airborne P-band and L-band SAR

The SARTOM project has assessed SAR tomography and polarimetry techniques for the detection and classification of military targets under foliage or in high clutter environments. In this paper we present a summary of our results based on data acquired at L- and P-band.
