Efecto del ácido indol 3-acético (aia) exógeno en presencia de luz azul y blanca en la productividad de biomasa de tres biotipos de chlorella sp. En el alto andino ecuatoriano

2020
Microalgae are very important for diverse production of substances like food, industrial, energy, agriculture, chemical and pharmaceutical. Chlorella sp. is an important product due to their versatility; however, no processes have been developed to reduce production costs, it means people lost the interest about make an industrial production to obtain important metabolites. The objective of this investigation was evaluate the effect of exogenous indole 3-acetic acid (AIA) under blue and white light on the productivity (g L-1) of three Chlorella sp. biotypes in the High Andean Ecuadorian. The exogenous Indole 3-Acetic Acid AIA working solution was applied in the acceleration stage obtaining asignificant increase in cell multiplication (g L-1), cell density (cells mL-1) and biomass production. The irradiation with blue LED light generated energy wasting causing a decline in cell development in the three Chlorella sp. biotypes between days 14 and 18; irradiation with white LED light generated an increase in cell development in the three Chlorella sp. biotypes and did not cause energy wasting. The maximum cell and biomass production was achieved with the AIA treatment under white LED light irradiation. Microalgae could become the agribusiness of the future using biomass to take advantage of effluents and residues from different processes in the food industry such as whey.
