Analysis of Human Sacrifice and Human Sati in the Regional Culture of Chu

Starting from the early Spring and Autumn Period,the custom of human sacrifice and human sati in the regional culture of Chu developed quickly,reached its peak in the late Spring and Autumn Period,and then declined in Warring States Period.Human sacrifice in regional culture of Chu included three forms,devoting captives to the land of God,wielding the river of God and sacrifice for the foundation.According to different identity,human sati contained three forms,human sati by wives,human sati by favorite and human sati by slaves.Comparing to the regional culture of Qin,it is relatively rare to see the custom of human sacrifice and human sati in the regional culture of Chu,because of the opposition of liberal people,the effect of humanism and the rise of the custom of burial figures.
