Synthesis of β‐Ketosulfones by using Sulfonyl Chloride as a Sulfur Source

An efficient one-pot green strategy has been developed for the synthesis of β-ketosulfones by directly using easily available and inexpensive sulfonyl chlorides as a sulfur source to react with aromatic alkenes in the presence of cheap tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) and Et3N in 1,2-dichloroethane (DCE) at 45 °C within 3 h.
