Nasher Prize Dialogues – Artists and Authorship: reference, relationships and appropriation in contemporary sculptural practice

The Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas, in association with The Common Guild presented an event as part of the Nasher Prize Dialogues: a panel discussion considering issues around the idea of artistic licence, and the use / re-use of existent material. The discussion considered questions around ownership, originality, responsibility, ethics, and authorship in 21st century art production. Speakers: Katrina Brown (Director, The Common Guild) and artists Christine Borland, Sam Durant and Mark Leckey.
