Analysis on Common Faults of Phasor Measurement Unit

Substations and power plants install the phasor measurement units(PMU) to strengthen dynamic stability detection and analysis ability on the power system.Due to its high reliance on global position system(GPS) and strict communication quality requirements,the PMUs entercounter frequent failure.Common failures of the PMU are given and discussed,including data variance name or coefficient error,frame lost,and non-real-time file transmission error.Solutions of these failures are given.
