Study of Bi-directional DC/DC Converter

This paper first introduces several typical topologies of isolated bi-directional DC/DC converter. Based on the analysis and comparison of the main characteristics and applications of each typical topology, this paper presents a novel topology of isolated bi-directional DC/DC converter. The compact structure and the adoption of the synchronous rectify technique make the whole system possess the advantages of high efficiency, high control performance and low cost. The circuit structure, working principle and design procedures are introduced and analyzed in detail. Experimental waveforms are given to demonstrate the goodness of this novel topology.
