Constructing α‐MnO2@PPy core-shell nanorods towards enhancing electrochemical behaviors in aqueous zinc ion battery
2020
Abstract In this work, polypyrrole coated α‐MnO2 core-shell nanorods (α‐MnO2@PPy) were constructed via an in-situ self-polymerization process. In aqueous zinc ion battery testing, the α-MnO2@PPy exhibits a capacity of 148 mAh/g and remain 85 mAh/g after 100 cycles, showing great improvement upon the bare α‐MnO2 sample. The enhanced performances should be ascribed to the polypyrrole coating, which not only alleviates the Mn2+ dissolution but also improves the conductivity of α‐MnO2 electrode.
