Novel Refractory Phase, Ta7Si2(SixB1-x)(2)

Ta7Si2(Si0.12B0.88)2 is prepared by repeated arc-melting of the elements followed by annealing at 2000 °C for 100 h or at 2300 °C for 45 h.
