ICR PLASMA HEATING IN L-2 STELLARATOR

In a deuterium plasma containing a small admixture of hydrogen, plasma heating by fast magneto-acoustic waves (FMAW) in the range of the second harmonic of ion cyclotron resonance of deuterium, was carried out successively in a series of tokamak experiments /1–4/. Results of similar experiments in the L -2 stellarator have been recently published /5/. This report deals with the further investigations in the L -2 machine.
